This past Sunday, December 8, 2024, the Houston Force Volleyball Club family came together for a special moment of connection and celebration. At Crust Pizza on Gaston Rd., the 13 Galaxy and 15 Empire teams shared an afternoon of crafts, laughter, and plenty of pizza, kicking off this season’s Big/Lil Sis program in the warmest way possible.
The Big/Lil Sis program is more than a mentorship—it’s about creating a sense of family within our club. Each younger team is paired with an older team, creating bonds that go beyond the court. This event was all about fostering those connections, as players got to know their “big” or “little” sisters through creativity and conversation. From decorating personalized crafts to sharing stories and advice, the room was filled with smiles and encouragement.
Of course, no family gathering is complete without food! Sharing pizza made the event even more special, giving everyone a chance to relax, chat, and enjoy each other’s company. These simple moments of connection are what make the Houston Force community feel like home.
The Big/Lil Sis program isn’t just about one afternoon, though. Throughout the season, teams will continue to build their relationships by exchanging good luck mementos—like sweet notes, small treats, or little gifts—every month. And this is just the beginning! Future events will pair up different teams, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to grow their volleyball family.
At Houston Force, we believe volleyball is about more than winning games—it’s about lifting each other up, celebrating together, and creating a community that feels like home. The Big/Lil Sis program is just one way we remind our athletes that they’re never alone—they’re part of something truly special. 🏐❤️
